What the record says

Five stars, seventeen times over, and not one of them is about a website.

Everything below is somebody else's words. Rick answers his own phone, the quote holds, and the nails go home in the truck. That is the whole pitch and it has held for thirty five years.

What we are actually looking at

A roof is five or six places where water decides to leave, or not.

This is one of ours, outside Hico. Hover or tab through the marks and you get the plain-English version of what we check on every estimate.

Shingle or metal

We fit both, which is why you get a straight answer about which one you want.

A roofer who only hangs metal will tell you to buy metal. Half the roofs in our own gallery are standing seam or R panel and the other half are composition shingle, so the recommendation you get is about your building, your budget and how long you plan to be under it.

Materials

What we will actually put over your head.

All types of roofing, in the words the business has always used. Here is what that means in practice.

Composition shingle
The Central Texas default, and still the sensible one on most houses.
Standing seam metal
Concealed fasteners, long runs, the look on half our gallery.
R panel metal
Exposed fastener metal. Barns, shops and plenty of houses.
TPO and single ply
For the flat and low slope sections on commercial roofs.

After a storm

One town near here lost seven roofs to hail and wind in a night.

That is a customer's own account, not a sales line. When it happens the useful things are a phone somebody picks up in the evening, a free damage evaluation the next morning, and somebody who has handled the insurance side before. We do all three.

In their words

Five stars from seventeen people who had already paid us.

We used Excell roofing to replace our roof and we couldn't be happier with the service. Rick and his crew did an excellent job with fast and attentive service. It's nice to be able to call Rick and he answers the phone, himself. Highly recommend.

Rick was prompt to respond and evaluate the condition of our roof. When the determination was made the roof covering needed to be replaced, he also provided a couple different options with price quotes. He and his crew were equally prompt starting and finishing the job replacing the roof. Courteous and attentive to cleanup. Fair pricing. Outstanding communication.

I own J&M Remodeling & Clepper Rental Properties & have used Excell Roofing for several years. Rick & Zac have always done an excellent job for me. They have roofed close to 30 houses for me, 3 in the last year. They are always on time, very professional & leave the job site clean of nails & shingles. I highly recommend Excell Roofing.

They have also replaced the roof on the church I attend. There is no one else that I would even consider! Rick and Zac are as honest as the day is long. They do excellent work and stand behind their work.

I have never had a repair that he had to add to his quote and I have paid him by what he quoted every time.

Before you ring

The questions we get asked most.

Yes. We are insurance claims specialists, and a lot of our work starts with a free damage evaluation after a storm has come through. We will walk the roof, tell you honestly whether the damage is claimable, and put references in your hand if you want to check us out before anything is signed.

No. You get the price before we begin, and that is the price you pay. One customer put it plainly in her review: she has used us for three roofs and has never had a repair added on top of the quote.

Both, and we have for years. Composition shingle, standing seam and R-panel metal, TPO and single ply. Half the roofs in our own gallery are metal, so you are not being talked into whichever one we happen to be comfortable with.

That is the thing our customers mention most often without being asked. Crews clean the site down before they leave, nails included, because a nail in a tyre undoes a good roof in about a second.

Ring Rick. He will answer.

Free estimate, free damage evaluation, and references if you want to check us out first. That has been the offer for thirty five years and it has not needed changing.
