Half of what's in our own gallery is metal, not shingle
Excell Roofing works composition shingle, metal, TPO and single ply, and metal is not the exception. Look at our own finished jobs and you'll find a silver standing seam roof on a limestone house, a green standing seam roof on a red log cabin, and a tan R-panel roof on a brick ranch, alongside the shingle roofs on houses and churches in the same set. That range is there because Rick and Zac Jones have been putting on both for over 35 years, not because one of them is a specialty and the other is the default.
Picking a panel and a color
Al Vinson's review, after a hail-damaged roof needed replacing, says Rick was prompt to evaluate the roof and then provided a couple different options with price quotes before anything was decided. That's the same conversation whether the job ends up shingle or metal: you see what a standing seam or an R-panel roof will actually cost against a shingle replacement, with a number attached to each, and you pick.

None of these three photos is styled or staged. They're finished jobs from our own gallery, shown here so you can see the actual color and panel options rather than take our word for it.
Composition shingle, TPO and single ply are also on the table. Metal isn't a specialty item here, it's roughly half of what leaves our crews finished.
